The owners of this early 1980s traditional home are avid cooks who frequently entertain.  They know all too well that no matter how great a party is, guests like to be in the kitchen so the goal was to create a more efficient workspace providing an easy flow for guests.

Without increasing the homes footprint, Virtuoso Builders radically changed this home into a visually inviting space where modern beauty meets functionality.  In the kitchen, the Virtuoso team removed the ceiling to be level with the adjacent breakfast and dining rooms creating the feel of a much larger space.  New cabinets were installed with Casesarstone countertops. A movable island with stainless steel countertop was constructed to provide extra flexibility and storage space.  The color palette is inviting and soothing with a mosaic, glass tile backsplash that pulls in the earthy tones of the 18x18 floor tile and soft green painted walls.  Colors contrast nicely with stainless steel appliances and open shelving.

The remodel to this home includes the kitchen, breakfast room, dining room, and sitting room adjacent to the dining area.  The sunken sitting room literally received a "lift" as Virtuoso Builders repaired and leveled the space. To take advantage of the new kitchen, the design includes the removal of the wall between the breakfast room and the newly raised sitting room.  The 18x18 tile from the kitchen was extended throughout this area to give it a seamless look.
